The City's water supply is pumped from 6 wells coming from the Ocala, Limestone, and Clairborne Aquifers. The water is considered moderately hard due to its calcium carbonate levels. The total pumping capacity is 4.1 million gallons per day, with an average daily demand of 1.8 million gallons per day. Water treatment consists of the addition of chlorine and fluoride. Water storage consists of 4 elevated water tanks and 1 ground storage tank with a total capacity of 2,300,000 gallons.

Total Coliform testing is performed in-house. The water lab is State Certified to perform these tests on wells and the distribution system. The water lab monitors daily for levels of chlorine and fluoride. There are 2 State Licensed Water Lab Analysts and 2 State Licensed Class I Water Operators on staff
